What are Parish Safeguarding Dashboards?
The Parish Safeguarding Dashboard (created by the company Clearly Simpler) is a vital safeguarding tool which helps you:
- Easily monitor and manage safeguarding practices and policies
- Evidence your parishes compliance with the national mandatory safeguarding requirements
Parish Safeguarding Dashboards:
- Take you through all the safeguarding tasks that need to be completed by a parish so that you know you have done all you need to do. All information is available in one place, removing the need to have multiple handbooks, guides and manuals to hand.
- Provide template documents and automatically produce an report/action plan for the PCC to identify what things need to be addressed most urgently.
- Work equally well on a computer, tablet, or smartphone, and is intuitive to use – simply tick the answer on a series of multiple choice questions and add the date this was completed or reviewed by your PCC.
- Use an easy-to-follow traffic light system for each section:
- Green - you have reached or exceeded the required standard for this question
- Amber – a question is coming up for review
- Red – a question needs to be urgently reviewed
What are the Parish Safeguarding Hubs?
The Diocese also partners with Clearly Simpler to provide the use of Parish Safeguarding Hubs. Safeguarding Hubs allow you to:
- Track volunteers safeguarding training and DBS renewals – providing automatic reports and reminders on who needs to renew/complete training or a DBS check
- Track volunteer and staff roles and help create role descriptions and person specifications
- Track the safer recruitment process when a someone starts a new role, providing templates and guidance at all stages of recruitment
Developments are underway to integrate the Hubs with our DBS providers (thirtyone:eight) as well the C of E online training portal to further automate the administration of safeguarding for Parishes.
Safeguarding Hubs are free of charge for parishes to use in the diocese of Bath and Wells. Assistance with uploading data and training on the Hub system can be provided by the diocesan team.
