Jo Stobart to be next Archdeacon of Wells
19th May 2026Jo Stobart is to be the next Archdeacon of Wells and Residentiary Canon of Wells Cathedral. She will succeed Anne Gell who stepped down earlier this month after nine years in the role. Jo will be returning to Bath and Wells in the late autumn.

Ian Mills to be next Rector of Bath Abbey
11th May 2026It has been announced that the Revd Dr Ian Mills is to be the next Rector of Bath Abbey. Ian is currently the Rector of Benefice of Chew Valley West and Area Dean of Chew Magna in the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
Celebrations for the return of the 292 year old church clock
