In the latest edition of the Safeguarding Newsletter, Ben shares safeguarding news and updates from across the diocese and the national Church. He highlights important messages for subscribers to pass on to PCC members, including information about the national Church’s new Safety page, which brings together mandatory requirements and best-practice guidance for PCCs. The newsletter also includes details of the national churches campaign, 'It's Not Just Policy, It's Personal', which will be running in June, to raise awareness of serious safeguarding concerns and the importance of reporting them.
There also features new guidance on publishing photographs of children online, along with details of the Safeguarding team’s PSO forums. These forums will take the form of lecture-style training sessions on a range of current safeguarding issues, with time for questions and networking. This year, the forums will focus on the Year of Action on Domestic Abuse.
