This month’s safeguarding newsletter is filled with guidance, advice and information about upcoming courses and events.
In this Christmas edition of the Safeguarding Newsletter, Ben shares the good news of new appointments to the Safeguarding team. Jacke Lent has been appointed as Parish Safeguarding Support Officer with a focus on support for parishes. We also welcome Julie Davies who has become a permanent caseworker. Julie, who joined the diocese in February on a temporary contract, will work four days a week. And Richard Brown, who has been retained for one day a week as a caseworker.
The newsletter contains important information about the Parish Safeguarding Handbook. There is also information about upcoming PSO forums, training opportunities for PSOs in 2026, information about updates to the
Dashboard and Hubs, as well as a reminder of the guidance for PCCs on safeguarding responsibilities.
